COMMON CARRIER REJECTIONS

The following explanations for rejected campaigns are commonly provided by the carriers. Do not submit registration information for programs similar to these cases.

CANNOT AUTOMATICALLY ENROLL USERS INTO SMS

Calls to Action should be clear to the end user such that by taking action they will only be providing consent to receive text messages. In other words, it is important that the opt-in is not hidden or mixed within other terms, such as creating an account or requesting support. SMS opt-in must be collected separately and must be optional.

AFFILIATE MARKETING LANGUAGE DETECTED

Verizon considers affiliate marketing to be the sharing of subscriber information with affiliated or non-affiliates parties for marketing purposes. This is prohibited and will cause a registration to be rejected. If you have policies wherein you share customer information with third parties for marketing purposes, your program may be rejected.

LEAD GEN MARKETING

Lead gen marketing is when a brand promotes rates or services that they themselves do not offer, by either sending subscribers quotes/information from other businesses, or by sharing subscribers with those businesses to market to them directly.
